Halloween 2009

Halloween fell on a Saturday this year, so we had big plans to party and trick-or-treat with our good friends the Zaragozas, the Haskins', and the Elliotts. However, two of my girls got hit with the flu bug so we had to stay close to home for our own family fun. For the first time in her 6 years of life, Madison decided to wear a costume. She was enchanted by a sparkly witch's broom she saw at Target and begged for me to buy it. She even promised that she would wear a costume if I bought the broom. (As you can see, she easily convinced me!) Megan, our very girly girl, wore a pretty bride costume and Lauren, was a very cute Bat Girl. While I stayed home and handed out candy to neighborhood trick-or-treaters, Vince took the girls out to collect their goodies. They came home with plenty of treats and stories of different costumes they saw as they wandered the neighborhood! I'm so glad that in spite of the disappointment of missing the get-together they were looking forward to that the girls had a fun Halloween!
